Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Vannie ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. Vannie is operated by JF Digital Solutions ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

Vannie is a beauty and makeup collection tracker that allows you to catalog your products, scan items using AI-powered image recognition, track expiry dates, and maintain a personal beauty diary. The App may include free and premium features, which may change over time.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Vannie offers both free ("Vannie Free") and premium ("Vannie Pro") tiers. We may grant early adopters complimentary access to premium features at our discretion, which may be modified or revoked at any time.

Auto-Renewal

Vannie Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to premium features until then. Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple or Google. Refund requests must be directed to the respective store and are subject to their refund policies. JF Digital Solutions does not process payments or issue refunds directly.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features of Vannie, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. User-Generated Content

You may upload photos, create diary entries, add product notes, and generate other content within the App ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Vannie service to you.

You agree that your User Content will not:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Contain harmful, abusive, or objectionable material
  • Include malicious code or attempt to compromise the service

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or other users' access
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the App without permission
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

7. Intellectual Property

The Vannie app, including its design, logos, branding, and underlying code, is the intellectual property of JF Digital Solutions. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. JF Digital Solutions makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's reliability, accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
  • AI-powered product scanning will always produce accurate results
  • Product information retrieved via barcode lookup will be complete or up to date
  • Expiry date tracking will replace your own judgment about product safety

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JF Digital Solutions and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data, including product collection information
  • Reliance on product information, expiry dates, or AI scanning results provided by the App
  • Unauthorized access to your account due to compromised credentials
  • Service interruptions or downtime

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars (US$50), whichever is greater.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that may harm Vannie, its users, or JF Digital Solutions.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JF Digital Solutions from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or on our website. Your continued use of Vannie after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
