JF Digital Solutions ("we," "our," or "us") operates Vannie, a mobile application designed to help you track and manage your beauty and makeup collection. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Vannie app and related services.

Account Information
- Email address (for account creation and authentication)
- Display name and profile photo (if provided via Google or Apple Sign-In)
- Push notification tokens (for sending expiry alerts and reminders)
Product & Collection Data
- Beauty product details (name, brand, category, shade, expiry date)
- Product photos you upload for identification and cataloging
- Barcode scan data used to look up product information
User-Generated Content
- Diary entries and notes about products
- Photos attached to diary entries or product reviews
Usage & Technical Data
- App usage logs (features accessed, actions taken)
- Device information (device type, operating system version)
- Crash reports and performance data

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Vannie:
Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile photo from your Google account. This data is used solely for account creation and authentication. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Apple Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive your email address (or an Apple-generated relay address if you choose to hide your email) and display name. This data is used solely for account creation and authentication. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
Supabase
Provides our database, user authentication, and cloud storage. Your account data, product collection data, and uploaded photos are stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. See the Supabase Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini AI
When you use the product scanning feature, photos of your products are sent to Google Gemini AI for analysis and identification. Google processes this data according to the Google Privacy Policy.
Barcode Lookup APIs
When you scan a product barcode, the barcode number is sent to third-party barcode lookup services to retrieve product details. No personal information is shared in these requests.
PostHog
We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics to understand how users interact with the App and improve our features. PostHog collects usage patterns, feature interactions, and device information. See the PostHog Privacy Policy.
Sentry
We use Sentry for crash reporting and error monitoring to improve app stability. Sentry collects crash logs, device information, and app state at the time of an error. See the Sentry Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes purchase-related data such as transaction history and subscription status. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Push Notifications (Expo)
We use Expo Push Notifications to send you product expiry alerts, reminders, and other notifications you have opted into. This requires storing a device push token. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. See the Expo Privacy Policy.
5. Photo Storage & Processing
- Product photos you upload are stored in Supabase cloud storage to display within your collection and for backup purposes.
- AI scanning photos are sent to Google Gemini AI for product identification. These images are processed according to Google's data handling policies and are not retained by us beyond the scanning session.
6. Data Sharing & Sales
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your information is only shared with the third-party service providers listed above, solely for the purpose of operating and improving Vannie. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and access controls on stored data. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable precautions to safeguard your information.
8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Deletion — Request that we delete your account and all associated data.
- Right to Rectification — Request corrections to inaccurate personal data.
- Right to Data Portability — Request your data in a portable format.
- Right to Opt-Out — Opt out of non-essential data collection or communications.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — Exercise your privacy rights without penalty (CCPA).

9. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will permanently remove your data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
10. Children's Privacy
Vannie is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or on our website. Your continued use of Vannie after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
